We traveled with our two 12-year-olds…
We traveled with our two 12-year-olds on a family trip to Peru. The hotels were excellent, and the guided service quality was also good. My one gripe is with the new circuit system. It would be better if the Machu Picchu ticketing system returned to how it was before because it caused some issues regarding what we wanted to see in Machu Picchu, but that is not the agency’s fault. David did a very good job organizing our entire 18-day experience. I would travel with Journey Machu Picchu again if they offer other destinations.

We had a trip programmed for early…
We had a trip programmed for early March and it was spectacular. Normally we like to manage our own travel plans but since Peru is a bit more exotic than other places we visited we contacted Journey Machu Picchu. They did an amazing job planning out the 10 day trip which included Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. Would recommend

Our assessment after analyzing reviews
Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews
The initial statement, “Written by the website’s owner,” is not a review but a self-description. It claims the company is a Peru-based travel service offering tours, accommodations, guides, transportation, and customer service. It’s marketing content, not a customer review, and therefore does not contribute to assessing the website’s legitimacy, but rather their service’s claims. Since it is self-written, it has an inherent bias and should be considered as a marketing pitch rather than an unbiased review.
Review 1 (Walla Spirit): This review appears genuine. The user mentions specific details about their 18-day family trip to Peru with two 12-year-olds. They praise the excellent hotels and guided service quality. They also mention a specific, credible complaint about the “new circuit system” for Machu Picchu tickets, demonstrating understanding of the current travel restrictions and not a general praise. The fact that they acknowledge a specific issue and its impact on their experience, without blaming the agency, adds to the review’s credibility. It ends with a positive note, expressing willingness to travel with the agency again, conditional to other destinations available. The length, detail and specificity point toward an actual customer account.
Review 2 (John Ackley): This review is also likely genuine. The user explains that they usually manage their own travel plans but chose Journey Machu Picchu for their trip to Peru because it’s “a bit more exotic.” This indicates a specific reason for using the travel agency. The review highlights the planning of their 10-day trip, mentioning locations like Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca. The inclusion of multiple specific locations adds to the review’s credibility. The length and detail suggest a real travel experience. It concludes with a recommendation. The reasons given sound like a genuine customer comment.
